Heartland Wildlife is, perhaps, best known as one of North America’s premier whitetail lodges. While the majority of our operation is high-fenced, we are not a put-and-take operation. Our whitetails are native Missouri deer that have had the benefit of good management, good nutrition, and ample time to grow big antlers. Our herd continues to thrive under our strict management plan, and we continue to improve the average antler size each year.

In addition to our preserve hunts, we also offer a select number of free-ranging hunts on prime farm land that surrounds our lodge. These hunts offer an excellent opportunity to take an exceptional buck in the 140-170 class (SCI), and are reasonably priced, despite sharing the same lodging and staff as our preserve hunts. While seasons are not regulated on our preserve hunts, Missouri has separate seasons for archery, rifle, and muzzleloader hunters, and we offer a limited number of free-range hunts in each of the three seasons.
