Pourvoirie Caniapiscau Outfitter Inc. is located on the 54th parallel on the shore of the Caniapiscau reservoir that covers an area of 4,425 square kilometres. Water level in the reservoir is maintained by 2 dams and 41 dikes. Your 7 days stay (5 days of fishing) will allow you to visit a small part of the largest lake in Quebec and its unique scenery.

Specially chartered aircraft maintain a schedule between Montreal region and our operations' base at Caniapiscau. Your package includes heated and electrically lighted camps, all your meals and ground transportation at Caniapiscau. Also available are showers, bathrooms and satellite telephone.

Each of our 22 1/2 feet boats are maned by our experienced guides and equipped with sonar, C.B. radio, live well and trolling motor. High powered marine outboards will get a group of three anglers quickly and securely to our many fishing spots.

Many species are present in the fishing area and when your line tightens you may land:

Lake trout
Most of our catches are of 20 pounds and up, a succulent eating fish characterized by its pink flesh.

Ouananiche (Land-locked salmon)
Smaller than its big brother the Atlantic Salmon, this fish will bring excitement to a peak as it leaps out of the water.

Northern Pike
Usually found in the warmer surface waters, Northerns will bring all so much emotions.

Brook Trout
Pound per pound, certainly our best fighting species.

Care of fish
